Be creative.  Instead of having a single resume for all your job applications, change it a bit in order to conform to the job opening you are applying to.  It does not mean that you have to invent things up, but it simply means that you highlight certain parts of your experiences that are more attuned to the job opening as opposed to highlighting other parts.

4. Follow up.  Job searching is not simply submitting your resume and waiting for the company to call you up.  No, it entails much more effort in that you have to follow up with your application every now and then.  By following up, you show strong interest in the position which you have applied for.

5. Prepare for interviews.  Well after submitting and being contacted by companies, the next step would be an interview.  Do not blow your chances by coming unprepared.  Make sure that you have researched the company beforehand and be prepared for whatever questions they might throw at you.  By doing so, you are at an edge over other job seekers.
